Musical Theatre Dance

 

Ages 10-14   |   $180

July 8-12, 2019  |  M-F, 9:00am - 12:00pm

We’ll be dancing the day away! This camp will focus primarily on ensemble numbers and musical theatre choreography. Students will spend each day dancing and crafting a revue of musical theatre's best group songs. With new skills and confidence, they’ll be able to audition and perform at a whole new level.  No dance experience required.

 

 

 

 

Sketch Comedy

 

Ages 8-12   |   $180

July 15-19, 2019  |  M-F, 9:00am - 12:00pm

Students will learn all about what makes something funny and how to make audiences laugh!  They will work together to create their own comedic sketches and scenes and share some of their work with parents and friends. 

 

 

Musical Theatre 101

 

Ages 8-12   |   $200

Learn how to act through song in this introductory musical theatre camp! Work on small group scenes as well as short solos to create a one-of-a-kind musical theatre showcase!

 

 

 

Musical Theatre Auditioning

 

Ages 13-18   |   $200

In this intensive, students will learn the ins and outs of musical theatre auditioning. Our teaching artists will help you craft a perfect audition package and impress directors with your savvy! Students must be willing to sing solo.

 

 

 

Musical Theatre Scenes

 

Ages 13-18   |   $200

In this intensive, students will perform scenes from a wide variety of musicals. Combining voice training and music analysis with acting techniques and scene study, musical theatre performers will truly benefit from this program!

 

 

 

 

 

Readers' Theatre

 

Ages 8-12   |   $350

July 29-August 9, 2019  |  M-F, 9:00am - 12:00pm (2 weeks)

The possibilities are endless when our task is to take a piece of published literature and transform it into a script meant for performance on the stage. Poetry, Dr. Seuss, fairy tales, beloved children's stories, all is fair game in Readers' Theater! Students will learn the art of scriptwriting while honing their acting skills.

 

 

 

 

Intro to Theatrical Design

 

Ages 8-12   |   $350

July 29-August 9, 2019  |  M-F, 1:00pm - 4:00pm (2 weeks)

Whether you're hoping to put on a show in your backyard, or curious about what goes on backstage at your favorite Broadway shows, this camp will help you understand the ins and outs of theatrical design.  Discover how design helps to tell a story and build your own portfolio as you craft set, lighting, costume, prop, and sound designs with exercises and everyday objects. You'll even have the chance to consult with our Readers' Theatre camp and contribute design elements to their final performance! 

 

 

 

Filmmaking

 

Ages 8-14   |   $700

August 19-30, 2019  |  M-F, 9:00am - 3:00pm (2 weeks)

Love the movies and want to learn how to make your own?  During this 2-week camp, you'll get to write and star in your own short films.  We'll explore a variety of ways to tell your stories and learn from master filmmakers.  As a special treat, we'll have a field trip and our own private screening at Riverview Studios in Bordentown on Friday, August 30 at 7:00pm.

Campers staying for both the morning and afternoon session will join us for lunch and outdoor play from 12-1pm.

They are welcome to provide their own lunch or order a standard lunch from us.

Refund Policy

All summer programs require payment of a $50 non-refundable administration fee. In the event that a camp has to be cancelled for any reason, all tuition fees will be refunded, including the $50 fee for any students who are not enrolled in other camp programs.

 

In the event that a camper withdraws from a camp, tuition refunds will be given on the following schedule. In the case of a documented medical withdrawal (note from a doctor) a full refund minus the $50 registration fee will be given. For withdrawals at least 2 weeks from the start date of camp, a 25% refund will be given. For withdrawals at least one month from the start date of the camp, a 50% refund will be given. For withdrawals at least 2 months from the start date of camp a full refund will be given.
