Pegasus Theatre Company is partnering with ArtPride NJ to bring Diner Theatre to central New Jersey again.  Diner Theatre is a kind of immersive, pop-up theatre performed in an actual diner, where the actors are indistinguishable from the patrons.  Last year’s Diner Theatre performance sold out, even after almost doubling the number of available seats.

 

Seeking: We are seeking original 10-15 minute plays that are set in a diner.  Playwrights should currently reside in New Jersey or have some other strong connection to the state.

 

Selection: Up to 4 plays may be selected for Pegasus Theatre Company to produce.  Plays selected will be added to the ArtPride NJ library of plays for use in future Diner Theatre events.  Additional plays may be selected for the library, even if Pegasus decides not to produce them.

 

The plays and playwrights selected will be announced in Pegasus Theatre Company’s monthly newsletter, as well as across Pegasus’ social media network.  The playwrights of the plays Pegasus selects to produce will receive a $50 royalty. 

 

Our Diner Theatre performance is anticipated for May 2020.
